Paula Friedman is a watercolor, pen and ink, and mixed media artist based in Solon, Ohio. With a background in early childhood education from the University of Cincinnati, she dedicated 40 years to nurturing young minds as a pre-K teacher and later as an assistant director. Her passion for children seamlessly blends with her artistic endeavors, bringing stories to life through vibrant illustrations.
In collaboration with Dr. Bill Effler, Paula illustrated The Kite: Learning To Fly Again and The Playground: Life Lessons Not Found in a Book. Her artwork in these books captures the imagination, using expressive watercolors to convey themes of growth, resilience, and wonder. Beyond book illustrations, Paula enjoys creating whimsical floral pieces and abstract portraits, often sharing her work on social media platforms.
Paula lives in Solon with her husband, Scott, and has two grown sons. She continues to inspire both children and adults through her art, reflecting a lifelong commitment to creativity and education.
